<h3>Robert Peate BMus Hons (b.1987)</h3>
<p>Born in Hereford in 1987, Robert began lessons on the piano at age 7 and was subsequently immersed in a large variety of music throughout his youth. Playing cello, double bass and continuo in local orchestras, performing as a solo pianist, as well as playing drums, guitar, organ and singing in a variety of bands for which he also wrote a great deal.</p>
<p>He received his first formal composition lessons at Birmingham Conservatoire in 2006, where he studied for four years under Richard<br />
Causton and Edwin Roxburgh. Graduating in 2010 with first class honours, he was subsequently offered an entrance scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music to begin the MMus composition course. He is currently studying under Simon Bainbridge with grants from the RVW Trust and the AHRC.</p>
<p>His work has been performed at various contemporary music events, including the Spitalfields Festival, Frontiers Plus, UK MicroFest, NONCLASSICAL and more. He has worked closely with many professional, student and amateur ensembles including BCMG, The Academy Manson Ensemble, CHROMA, FRETWORK, Decibel, Orchestra of the Swan, as well as with renowned performers such as Christopher Redgate, Rolf Hind, and Frank Ollu. His music has been performed at many venues including the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Duke&#8217;s Hall, Imperial War Museum (London), Adrian Boult Hall and The Space Theatre.</p>
<p>Robert is currently based in Kentish Town, London.</p>
